Journal introduction:

As the world's senior journal of record for the South Asian region,  South Asia: Journal of South Asian Studies  publishes peer-reviewed scholarly work in the humanities and social sciences. We aim to publish original, cutting-edge and conceptually interesting research that shapes and leads debates in South Asian studies. We cover the history, society, economy, culture, politics and international relations of the South Asian region, combining disciplinary depth with interdisciplinary accessibility. We do not publish econometric analyses or policy papers.

The journal is published six times a year. We welcome individual submissions as well as proposals for special issues or sections on themed topics.
