Journal introduction:

ABRIU is an annual scientific journal edited by Estudis Gallecs i Portuguesos (Universitat de Barcelona) that complies with the rules of blind peer review and is aimed at the academic and research community. Its aim is to offer a space for analysis and debate on textuality in cultures that express themselves in Galician and Portuguese (literature, film, translation, performing arts, music...) from a plural methodological perspective. In line with this objective, Abriu publishes original research articles, unpublished or recovered documents and commentaries on books of essays and translations.
Each issue consists of four sections
- Monographic: a thematic dossier that accepts articles following a call for papers published in advance for each issue. The journal entrusts the coordination to a person specialising in the subject.
- Miscellaneous: includes articles on a variety of topics in the field of Brazilian, Galician, Portuguese and other Lusophone cultures.
- Open space: includes the publication of documents and texts that have been recovered, unpublished or difficult to access, accompanied by comments that contextualise them and analyse their value and significance. It can also include tribute texts, biographical sketches, thoughts on significant events, autopoetics, etc.
- Critical book reviews: reviews of academic books (monographs, critical editions, translations, etc.).
